A TRULY UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE!

Local Experience:
Live like a Carioca fan
Start your immersion just like the locals do on matchday: meet our bilingual guide at a metro station or at a designated meeting point near the stadium. From there, the cycle paths and streets surrounding the Maracanã fill up with fans; small neighborhood bars and street vendors serve cold beers and affordable snacks, turning the area into a true street party before kickoff.
We then walk a few blocks to one of the traditional botecos in the neighborhood, such as Bar do Bode Cheiroso, famous for its fried sardines and laid-back vibe, or Bar Tip Top, known for its dried-beef pastries and warm Carioca hospitality. There you’ll enjoy one complimentary drink (beer, soda, or water) and, between laughs and conversations, learn stories and rivalries that fuel the city’s passion for football.
Along the way, our guide shares curiosities about the match you’ll be attending and insights into Rio de Janeiro’s football culture. Arriving at the Maracanã, you immediately feel the weight of history: inaugurated for the 1950 FIFA World Cup, it remains Brazil’s largest stadium, with a capacity of around 78,000, and has hosted two World Cup finals, Olympic matches, and several Copa Libertadores finals.
Our guide stays with the group throughout the entire experience: helping you find your seat, translating the chants, and ensuring your safety and comfort, so you can focus entirely on living the thrill of being in the world’s most iconic football stands.
And if, after the final whistle, the excitement is still running high, we suggest extending the night at one of the lively bars in Praça Varnhagen, in Tijuca — one of the most traditional nightlife spots in Rio’s North Zone, packed with bars and restaurants. If you’d rather call it a night, the guide will escort you back to the metro, ensuring a smooth and safe return.
More than just watching a match, this is your chance to live an authentic football experience at the Maracanã, feeling like a true Carioca fan.

Frequently asked questions
1. I saw this same package on international tourism platforms. Why should I book directly with you?
Because when you book through foreign intermediary platforms, a significant part of what you pay — in some cases up to 40% — goes to these overseas companies, which exploit the work of local guides and agencies. We are Brazilians, officially licensed and truly passionate about what we do. By booking directly with us, you pay a fair price, receive personalized service, and have direct contact with the people who actually organize and accompany the experience at Maracanã. Here you are not just another number on a platform, but a guest invited to live the match as a true Carioca fan.
2. Where is the meeting point and how do I find the guide?
After booking, you will receive all the details of the meeting point — usually at metro stations or strategic spots near the Maracanã. On matchday, we create a WhatsApp group with all participants, where the guide shares information and is always available for contact. He will be waiting for you at the agreed place and will accompany the group from the meeting point all the way to the stadium entrance.
3. Are the tickets official and guaranteed?
Yes. We work only with official tickets, purchased from authorized partners. Your access to the stadium is guaranteed, with seats in the long side section, next to the home fans and with a privileged view of the pitch.
4. What is included in the package?
The experience includes an official ticket for the long side section of the Maracanã, one complimentary drink (beer, soda, or water) at a traditional bar near the stadium, and full assistance from a bilingual guide (English and Spanish). This guide, in addition to being a licensed tourism professional, is also a passionate football fan who shares stories, curiosities, and the unique thrill of experiencing the Maracanã like a local. He also provides full logistical support before, during, and after the match. The pre-match atmosphere is lived out in the streets and bars around the stadium, walking with the group into the authentic party vibe of the fans.
5. What is not included?
Transportation to the meeting point, meals and additional drinks, souvenirs, and personal expenses. For those who prefer comfort with round-trip van transfers from hotels, we also offer the Regular Matchday Package.
6. How long does the experience last?
Between five and six hours. This includes the pre-match meet-up, stop at the bar, the walk with the fans, the match itself, and the return after the final whistle.
7. Is it safe to walk to the Maracanã?
Yes. The walk is done as a group, guided by someone who knows the safest routes. Besides, thousands of fans make their way to the stadium at the same time, creating a festive atmosphere.
8. Do I need to bring anything specific?
We recommend light clothing, a copy or photo of your ID/passport, cash or card for extra expenses, and of course plenty of energy to cheer with the fans. In case of rain, the guide provides ponchos, since large umbrellas are not allowed inside the stadium.
9. Are there any age restrictions?
No. However, minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
10. How do cancellations and unforeseen events work?
Cancellations are flexible and accepted up to 72 hours before the match. After this period, it is not possible to cancel or request a refund. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, your ticket remains valid for the new date. If you cannot attend, we will do our best to offer alternatives.
11. Who are the guides?
Our guides are licensed tourism professionals, fluent in English and Spanish. More than that, they are passionate football fans who love to share curiosities, stories, and the unique energy that makes Maracanã such a cultural icon.
12. What are the seats like inside the stadium?
You can choose between two options. The Short Side is located behind the goal, right next to the most passionate supporters, where the energy is at its peak. The Long Side is along the sides of the pitch, offering a wide and privileged view of the game and the stadium atmosphere. Both are official tickets and guarantee an authentic Maracanã experience.
13. What happens after the match?
At the end, the guide accompanies those who want to continue the night to Praça Varnhagen, an area full of lively bars and restaurants. For those who prefer to head back, he takes the group to the metro station.
14. Can I buy souvenirs on matchday?
Yes. There are official stores inside the stadium and street vendors outside. The guide will point out the best and safest places to buy.
15. Do I need to understand football to enjoy the experience?
Not at all. This is a cultural and emotional experience even if you don’t know the rules of the game. The guide explains curiosities, stories, and traditions, and you will feel the passion of Carioca fans up close.
